Daddy released in 2001 showed the other side of Chiranjeevi proving he can show is immense talent even when it comes to sentiment. In this film Chiranjeevi played of a ill fated father, who lost her girl child and his wife keeps him away because the father himself becomes culprit accidentally in losing the child. The other child of Chiranjeevi born after his wife departs from him and he finds her later and gets his child and wife after a great difficulty. Rajendra Prasad and Ashim Bhalla played support roles in this film.
